FrostTech: Smart AC Remote is a free, ad-supported AC remote tool — control your air conditioner from your phone via its built-in IR blaster. By installing or using it, you agree to these Terms. FrostTech is an independent app and is not affiliated with any AC manufacturer.
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use FrostTech ("the App") on Android devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the App.
The App turns your phone into a remote for an air conditioner: select modes (Cool, Heat, Dry, Fan), adjust temperature, fan speed and swing, set up and name devices, and pick rooms. Control works only through your phone's built-in IR blaster.
Control requires an IR blaster built into your phone; many phones, including all Google Pixel models, do not have one, and on those the App cannot control an AC. Available features and brand support also depend on your AC model, and the App may not work with every AC or on every phone. The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any AC manufacturer; brand names (such as Samsung, LG, Daikin, Panasonic and Toshiba) are used only to indicate compatibility.

The App is free and supported by advertising. By using the App you acknowledge that ads will be displayed and that ad and attribution partners process limited data as described in our Privacy Policy. The App currently offers no in-app purchases or subscriptions; if paid features are added later, their price and terms will be shown before purchase.
The devices and preferences you set are stored locally and are removed when you clear the App's data or uninstall it. Available features depend on your phone's hardware (IR blaster), your AC and your network.
The App, including its design, code, graphics and trademarks, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright. Third-party brand names shown are trademarks of their owners, used only to describe compatibility. Except for the license granted above, no rights are transferred to you.
THE APP AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Without limiting the above, we do not warrant that the App will control any particular air conditioner or work on any particular phone.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. Because the App is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed USD 10.00.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from any claims, damages, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the App or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
This license remains in effect until terminated. It terminates automatically if you breach these Terms. You may terminate it at any time by uninstalling the App. Sections that by their nature should survive (disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification) will survive.
The App is distributed through Google Play. This agreement is between you and the developer only, not with Google. Google is not responsible for the App or its content. Your use must comply with the Google Play Terms of Service, and your data is handled per the Google Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the developer's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence are not affected.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
